Molecular Evolution in the Membrane: Ion Channels, Transporters, and Receptors
This meeting will provide a venue for scientists to share and discuss recent research on molecular evolution of ion channels, transporters, and receptors. The symposium will highlight mechanistic and structural work to understand the origins of functional diversity in transport and signaling proteins, and cover emerging approaches, including co-evolution and deep mutational scanning. SGP meetings are large enough to represent a diverse range of research areas and small enough to maximize individual discussions and foster collaborative interactions between students, postdoctoral fellows, early-career investigators, and established leaders in their fields.
